POLISHED in Riviera Maya

My family and I travel to our residence at the Grand Luxxe, Riviera Maya about two times a year to take a break from city life! Last week, I indulged in the best of Mexican and Cuban food (La Bodeguita in Playa is the best), 5-star resort pools, and two of the best massages I have ever received in my LIFE Rebeca… shoutout to you girlfriend! This year, we also brought our honorary sister, Jailyn, along resulting in many fun poolside afternoons guzzling dozens of “Mexican” margaritas = me traveling home with a bevy see how I used your famed word @jailynmarcel lol of bruises to which I still have no explanation for!

BUT y’all I turn 26 this month (I may write a post on my feelings about this cursed age this weekend while on my death bed  from getting my molars removed) and when I was on this particular vacation it truly hit me just how privileged I am to 1. Make it to 26 (hopefully) 2. Have a job that allows me to escape every now and then to vacay 3. Have a job… period and 4.That I’m able to vacation! At this age, I see and know how much of a luxury it is to travel as there are some people that have never left the city they grew up in, let alone the country! This year, I hope to travel even more, and with that, continue to seek fulfillment in meeting people of different backgrounds whom never fail to leave their mark on me in ways nothing and no one else can.

Everytime I travel to a tropical place, I pack triple the amount of clothing that I need and live in a bikini the whole time I’m there! I know I’m not the only one right?? This trip to Mexico wasn’t any different, but hopefully I learned my lesson for my upcoming getaways later this month! Swimsuits + Skin Only!
