FEED Supper 2016

“Approximately 795 million people around the world are hungry. Hunger is the greatest risk to health worldwide. It stunts the growth of individuals, communities and entire nations. This fall, by coming together to truly share a meal, we can help change that.”

So my dear friends Dominique McGee, Jailyn Marcel, Gabrielle Sauls did just that…we had the pleasure of hosting our second FEED Supper last Saturday which was a super success!! FEED Suppers were started by Lauren Bush Lauren three years ago with a mission to end the world hunger crisis. We started firm planning four short weeks prior to our event, and with the help of our friends, family & gracious sponsors Republic Square, Swift + Company, David Brown Flowers, Diptyque,  Petite Sweets,Texas Rover Company and the Wyndham Houston West Energy Corridor it was a super success!

Last year, our goal was to reach $1,000 in donations, and in about five days we raised a little over $5,000!! This year we are aiming to raise $10,000 providing nearly 100,000 meals to people who are food deprived in the United States.

If you feel compelled to donate please click HERE. We have until October 16th, which is World Hunger Day, to reach our goal and would truly appreciate your generosity! 100% of your donation will go toward giving meals through FEED’s giving partners, The World Food Programme and Feeding America.

As a Dietitan it’s inspiring to see young professionals take a stand against hunger! I also appreciate the fact that the proceeds for the FEED Supper willl provide meals to people who are food deprived in the United States since food insecurity is a very real thing here. I didn’t hesitate to donate and neither should you!
